The
Big Idea
All
the Friends are married except for one (played
by Jonathan Silverman).
His friends would like nothing better than
for him to join the marriage club
|
|
Behind
the Scenes
Take
the Friends idea and slightly adjust it
by marrying off all but one of the group.
Of course, in cooking up this series, the
producers added something some of the other Friends
clone lack: a well acted, well written show
|
|
Our
Take
It's
on between Friends and Seinfeld.
It will be a hit

The
Big Idea
A
single girl (Lea Thompson) coping with life in
New York with some help from her friends.
Oh, let's make this one a little different
by giving her a cute job and making her a cartoonist
|
|
Behind
the Scenes
Instead
of simple taking the Friends foundation,
the producers have added a few twists: an estranged
boy friend and a reluctant member of the group
(in the form of an artist who only hangs out with
the others because of his job)
|
|
Our
Take
Given
the time slot, if it is funny, any story line
will work, even a recycled one

|
|
|
|
|
The
Big Idea
The
adventures of a team of navy troubleshooters (from
the judge advocate general's office) as they investigate
military crimes
|
|
Behind
the Scenes
On
the surface, this seems like a rehash of A
Few Good Men. However, that description misses one important
point: This show is not about a courtroom but
is instead about action.
This is actually your typical (yet highly
exciting) action/adventure story.
The JAG aspect allows the leads to become
embroiled in various adventures but is not the
main foundation of the show
|
|
Our
Take
The
pilot was action-filled as well as a well written
drama. This show has all it needs to succeed, excellent
writing (from Donald P. Bellisario, the man behind
Magnum, P.I. and Quantum Leap),
a strong cast, military adventure, and many opportunities
for drama
