After
rescuing journalist Alexander Shannon from the
drug cartel in Colombia, MacGyver returns home
exhausted and falls fast sleep. The next morning,
he awakens and discovers that his house boat
has been unmoored and is floating in the middle
of the ocean. MacGyver is soon even further
angered when he learns that the responsible
party, Zoe Ryan, pulled this stunt in order
to get his attention. (She grew up with MacGyver
and Jack Dalton, whose style she followed with
her stunt). Regardless, MacGyver reluctantly
agrees to help her. Zoe, an associate professor
in archeology, then takes MacGyver back to her
University and explains how she has found Diana's
mirror, the first clue in finding the Temple
of the Holy Rose and the Grail. (MacGyver jokingly
comments that Indiana Jones already found the
Grail.) Also, seeking the Temple is Erich Von
Leer, whose henchman was almost caught while
unsuccessfully searching Zoe's office. Later,
MacGyver and Zoe head to London and an old Abbey.
They then locate three scepters, the next clue.
Unfortunately, Von Lear is there and, as Part
I ends, MacGyver is left to die under a pendulum
and Zoe is kidnapped.

The troubleshooter then frees Zoe, who insists
that MacGyver go back and recover the mirror
and scepters. He is captured by Deegan. Deegan
obtains the map and leaves MacGyver and Frank
to die. With some careful prodding Frog helps
MacGyver to escape. Then, with Frank's help,
the Phoenix troubleshooter follows Deegan and
recovers the Black Corsage. Unfortunately, the
entire affair has blown Sophia's cover and,
in order to maintain the security of her defection,
she needs to be given a new identity. Frank

MacGyver
and bounty hunter Jesse Colton (last seen in
the episode "Ma Dalton") are in Bangkok, Thailand
providing a Phoenix clinic with medical supplies.
The trip is especially emotional for Jesse as
he learns that a woman he loved fifteen years
earlier in Vietnam has died. Furthermore, he
discovers that he has a son named Willie. Willie,
uncomfortable with his previously unknown father,
rejects Jesse and steals the bounty hunter's
wallet. Willie then sells the wallet to a black
marketer named Skinner, who finds out about
Willie's relationship to Jesse. Thereby, Skinner
uses Willie in order to get into the Phoenix
clinic. Once inside, Skinner proceeds to steal
valuable medical supplies. Willie, however,
unsuccessfully tries to stop Skinner when the
black marketer tries to steal a dialysis machine
that is desperately needed by a young girl named
Suzie. Later, Jesse traces Skinner but is captured.
However, MacGyver manages to convince Willie
to help and the two locate Skinner's warehouse.
Unfortunately, Willie and MacGyver are also
caught. Soon, while MacGyver works on an escape,
Jesse and Willie begin to come to an understanding.
The trio escape, Skinner is captured, and the
dialysis machine is recovered. Afterwards, to
Jesse's pleasant surprise, Willie decides that
he wants to get to know his father.

to one of Jack Dalton's Jokes. However, he soon
learns otherwise when clues lead from Jack's
airport hanger to a cemetery. Once inside one
of the tombs, MacGyver finds himself in the
clutches of brutal assassin Murdoc (who must
have escaped death again in the episode "Cleo
Rocks"). However, Murdoc is not out for revenge
but instead wants MacGyver's help. The assassin
further explains that he has decided to give
up assassinations even though his employer,
HIT (Homicide International Trust), is against
his decision, MacGyver finally agrees to help
when Murdoc (who has agreed to turn himself
in and to provide evidence against HIT) explains
that HIT is holding his sister Ashton (who is
not even aware that Murdoc his her brother).
Later, Murdoc and MacGyver sneak into a Halloween
costume party at HIT and locate Ashton in the
basement. Unfortunately, Murdoc's sister is
on the other side of "Death Row," HIT's deadly
obstacle course. Using his ingenuity, MacGyver
manages to cross the course and rescue Ashton.

MacGyver
is overjoyed when he is visited by Sue Ling,
his Chinese foster daughter, who explains that
she is in the country to attend college. However,
when MacGyver drops her off at college the next
day, she does not attend classes but instead
meets with Wing Lee, who is in the Chinese student
movement. MacGyver begins to suspect that Sue
Ling is not telling him everything when Pete
is knocked out by Chinese government agents
who are ransacking MacGyver's apartment. After
discovering that Sue Ling entered on a temporary
(and not a student) visa and is not registered
in the University, MacGyver confronts the girl.
She explains that her real name is Mei Jan and
she took her college roommate Sue Ling's name
after Sue Ling was killed in Tiananmen Square.
She then reveals that her mission in The United
States is to provide local student leaders with
the fax numbers of the student resistance movement.
Additionally, she has a videotape of the Tiananmen
Square incident. With an understanding MacGyver's
support, Mei Jan proceeds with her mission and
meets with Wing Lee. Unfortunately, Wing Lee's
mother is being threatened and, therefore, he
turns Mei Jan in. MacGyver, hearing about what
happened from Wing Lee, sneaks into the Chinese
consulate and frees Mei Jan. Meanwhile, Pete
has arranged to broadcast a duplicate of the
Tiananmen Square tape. The fax network is successfully
started and Wing Lee receives word that the
student movement has saved his mother.

The
saga of the Colton brothers continues for in
this episode we meet Billy, Jesse and Frank's
younger brother. Billy, unlike his brothers,
is not a bounty hunter but rather a new employee
at the Phoenix Foundation. However, Billy is
not satisfied with standing behind while his
brothers get all the glory. Therefore, he has
misused Phoenix funds and flown to Africa in
order to collect the $5,000 reward offered for
the capture of a poacher known as Ladysmith.
Since MacGyver had vouched for Billy's character,
the troubleshooter soon finds himself following
the young Colton. Once in Africa, MacGyver meets
up with Kate Hubley, who runs the Nabo ranch
animal preserve. Meanwhile, Billy has been captured
after locating the pier where Ladysmith is trading
illegal rhino horns with Mabuto, a general in
the defense force. Fortunately, MacGyver arrives
and frees the young Colton. Following clues
that were overheard by Billy, MacGyver and Kate
then decide to intercept Ladysmith's buyer and
catch the poacher in the act. MacGyver takes
out Chan, Ladysmith's client, and proceeds to
meet with Ladysmith as Chan's agent. Unfortunately,
at the trade site, Mabuto recognizes Kate. However,
Billy and MacGyver step in and soon capture
Ladysmith, his men, and the rhino horns. After
some prodding from MacGyver, Billy decides to
donate his reward money to help protect the
rhinos.

MacGyver
and Pete find themselves involved in the wonderful
world of art as part of a Phoenix Foundation
art acquisition program. Unfortunately, their
latest acquisition proves problematic when an
elderly Jewish man named Sam Bolinski rushes
into the auction, claims the painting on display
is his, and accidentally rips it. In response
to Sam's accusation, MacGyver and Phoenix art
expert Dr. Laura Sand begin to investigate his
claim that the Nazi's stole the painting from
his family during World War II. Meanwhile, an
elderly German woman named Brandenberg, who
has been using the sale of the paintings to
fund her grandson William Brand's campaign for
Congress, orders Sam killed in order to prevent
any probing into the painting's history. Fortunately,
MacGyver is in the police station when an attempt
is made on Sam, and the troubleshooter saves
the elderly man. However, MacGyver soon has
more to worry about when Dr. Sand is captured
while investigating Hoggart, the previous owner
of the painting. MacGyver's concern then quickly
changes when he and Sam are also caught. However,
Pete, having continued his investigation, realizes
that Sgt. Harold Gray, the police officer on
the case, is involved and uses this information
to trace MacGyver to the Bonadventure Silver
Mine. Of course, MacGyver has used his ingenuity
to escape by this time and, when Pete arrives,
the Phoenix troubleshooter has already captured
Brandenberg. Thereby, Brandenberg's plan to
replace politicians and judges with Nazi party
members (or the ten percent solution) is uncovered
and stopped.

MacGyver
is in Chicago observing the production of a
Phoenix sponsored anti-drug video starring his
childhood friend Roxy Yates. However, things
are not running smoothly and rock singer Roxy
angrily runs out on the Rock Against Drugs project
and then accuses her manager Frank Rogan of
stealing. Afterwards, Roxy explains to MacGyver
that she has been under a lot of pressure ever
since Carla, her identical twin sister, started
trying to kill her. When the cable on the elevator
MacGyver and Roxy are riding in snaps, the troubleshooter
decides that there may be something to her story
and he pays a call on Carla. Carla, a painter,
responds to Roxy's accusations by saying that
her sister has been acting strangely ever since
suffering a mental breakdown. Later, Frank Rogan
pays a visit to Roxy's apartment and is in turn
thrown to his death by what appears to be Carla.
MacGyver soon starts to unravel the mystery
when he visits the mental hospital and finds
out that Carla was the patient and not Roxy.
Furthermore, he discovers that fingerprints
found in Carla's apartment match those found
in Roxy's trailer. His final clue to what is
happening is one of Carla's paintings that reveals
that Roxy died and Carla, suffering from mental
anguish, is acting like both sisters. MacGyver
soon confronts Carla in the abandoned video
studio. Unfortunately, Carla traps the troubleshooter
in a tank of water. MacGyver of course escapes
and then helps Carla to come to grips with her
sister's death.
